Product Description
Grade 80 Tow Chain is a heat-treated alloy steel chain designed for high-strength overhead lifting, tie-down and towing applications. It is the most economical of the chain grades suitable for overhead lifting (Grade 80, Grade 100, Grade 120). The chain is tested throughout the manufacturing process and meets or exceeds NACM, ASTM and OSHA specifications. Available in full drums, half drums, cut-by-the-foot lengths and tie-down assemblies. Grade 80 lifting slings are also available.

Parameters
Grade of Chain: NACM (National Association of Chain Manufacturers) & ASTM classify chains by grade. Higher grades provide higher working load limits for the same chain size.
Working Load Limit (WLL): Maximum working load that should be applied in direct tension to an undamaged straight length of chain.
Proof Test: Minimum tensile force applied during manufacturing as an integrity test; not to be used as a criterion for service or design.
Minimum Breaking Force: Minimum tensile force at which chain samples broke under controlled testing during manufacture; not a service guarantee.
Overhead Lifting: Lifting that would suspend a load above personnel or property, where dropping the load could cause injury or damage.
