Product Overview
13mm Grade 100 lifting chains are manufactured from high-strength alloy steel. Each 13mm Grade 100 chain is proof tested during the manufacturing process to 2× the Working Load Limit (WLL) with a minimum breaking strength of 4× WLL. These chains meet or exceed OSHA, government, NACM and ASTM specifications. Proof test certificates available on request.

Introduction
13mm Grade 100 chains are engineered for overhead lifting applications. Compared with equivalent Grade 80 chain, Grade 100 provides approximately 20% higher WLL, allowing reductions in chain size for the same load. Also referenced as Grade 10, System 10, or Spectrum 10, these chains are approved for overhead lifting.

Parameters

• Grade of chain: NACM and ASTM classify chains by grade; higher grades yield higher WLL for the same nominal size.
• Working Load Limit (WLL): Maximum allowable load in direct tension on an undamaged straight length of chain.
• Proof test: Manufacturing tensile test performed with a continuously increasing direct tension; used to verify manufacturing integrity, not for service design.
• Minimum breaking force: Minimum tensile force recorded during destructive testing; this is a manufacturing acceptance metric and not a design criterion.
• Overhead lifting: Lifting that suspends a load such that its unintended release could cause injury or damage.
