Product Overview
ASTM Grade 100 Chain is manufactured from high-strength alloy steel and is proof tested to 2× the working load limit. Minimum breaking strength is 4× the WLL. The chain meets or exceeds OSHA, NACM and ASTM specifications. 100% proof testing is performed during manufacture and test certificates are available free of charge.

Introduction
Grade 100 chain is designed for overhead lifting applications. Compared with Grade 80 of equivalent size, Grade 100 offers approximately 20% higher working load limit, enabling reduction in chain size for the same load. Grade 100 is also referenced as Grade 10, System 10 or Spectrum 10 and is approved for overhead lifting.

• Grade of Chain: NACM & ASTM classification; higher grade yields higher WLL for the same chain size.
• Working Load Limit (WLL): Rated maximum recommended working load applied in direct tension to an undamaged straight chain.
• Proof Test: Manufacturing integrity test: minimum tensile force applied during production (typically 2× WLL).
• Minimum Breaking Force: Measured minimum tensile force at break during manufacture (typically 4× WLL).
• Overhead Lifting: Lifting a suspended load where dropping could cause injury or damage.
