Product OverviewGrade 30 proof coil chain manufactured from low carbon steel. Minimum ultimate (breaking) load approximately 4 × Working Load Limit (WLL). Proof tested at 2 × WLL with certification. Available finish: self-colored (natural) or galvanized.
IntroductionGrade 30 proof coil chain is a general-utility chain intended for non-overhead applications such as agricultural use, log chain, tow chain and switch chain. It is produced to NACM/ASTM classifications for Grade 30 chains and offered in continuous lengths for industrial and farm use.
Caution- Do not use for overhead lifting.
- DO NOT EXCEED THE WORKING LOAD LIMIT (WLL).
ParametersGrade of chain: NACM and ASTM classify chains by grade; Grade 30 denotes a general utility chain with specified working load limits.
Working Load Limit (WLL): Rated capacity that should not be exceeded in direct tension on an undamaged straight length of chain.
Proof test: Manufacturing test performed at 2 × WLL to verify production integrity; proof test values are for acceptance testing and not for design use.
Minimum breaking force: Manufacturer’s minimum measured breaking force (approx. 4 × WLL); breaking force is an attribute test and not a service design criterion.
Overhead lifting: Lifting operations that would place a suspended load over personnel or property; this chain is not certified for such use.
