Product overviewThe KS963B.100-S is a seat pad accelerometer designed for measurement of human exposure to whole-body vibration. It is a piezoelectric accelerometer with integrated electronics providing an analog IEPE-compatible voltage output. The sensor is built into a flexible rubber pad (seat pad) and the sensing element can be removed from the pad for calibration. The unit includes an integrated 2 m cable with Binder 711, 4-pin and an integrated TEDS (DS2431).TechnologyPiezoelectric accelerometers are based on PZT ceramic and feature IEPE (integrated electronics piezo electric) circuitry for converting charge to an analog output voltage signal. The KS963B.100-S operates at a constant current of 2 to 20 mA and provides an analog voltage output.Housing and mechanical dataThe accelerometer sensor is embedded in a flexible rubber seat pad. The seat pad accelerometer weighs 270 grams (without cable). The sensor can be removed from the pad for calibration. The integrated cable is 2 m long and terminates with a Binder 711, 4-pin plug.ApplicationsDue to its design as a seat pad sensor, it is ideally suited for evaluation of human exposure to whole-body vibration according to ISO standards such as ISO 2631, ISO 8041, ISO 10326-1 and ISO 7096. Typical applications include driving and ride comfort measurements in trains, cars, agricultural and industrial vehicles.EnvironmentalOperating temperature range: -20°C to +80°C.Additional notesThe product page includes technical documentation (technical specifications PDF) for further detailed parameters.
