The Excelitas PYD 1384 (replacement to LHi 874) / PYD 1394 (replacement to LHi 944) Pyrodetector Series is the low-profile variant of the PYD 1388/PYD 1398 standard analog pyrodetectors. The low-profile, dual-element pyrodetectors feature two sensing elements in series connection and a FET in a source-follower circuit, packaged in a low-profile TO-39 metal housing with an optical window.

Details
Both dual-element, low-profile pyrodetectors feature two sensing elements in opposed series connection and a source-follower circuit. The PYD 1384 represents the standard base model of the low-profile series. PYD 1394 is equipped with a larger window that provides a wider field-of-view. An additional drain resistor and output capacitor further reduce interference from electromagnetic disturbances for EMI-sensitive applications. Ideally suited for motion detection, their low-profile design allows two pyros to be integrated together to enable a 180° field-of-view.
