With a mere 1.8 V power requirement, Excelitas offers the first low-power enhanced DigiPyro® series. The PYD 1588 and PYD 1598 are fully integrated dual-element pyroelectric digital motion detectors available with two field-of-view options. These DigiPyros deliver very low current consumption for extended remote motion detection in battery-powered devices and support wake-up/sleep modes to reduce system-level power use. A selectable band-pass filter and pulse-count option complete the device functionality.
