Product overviewThe Excelitas DigiPyro PYD 2597 is a two-element pyroelectric motion detector designed for ultra-low-power remote motion-sensing applications. Operating down to 1.4 V with a quiescent current as low as 2 µA (Wake-Up mode at 1.8 V), it is optimized to extend battery life in battery-powered indoor and outdoor systems.
DescriptionThe PYD 2597 integrates pyroelectric elements, analogue front-end and configurable digitization to deliver reliable motion detection across varying temperatures. Fully RoHS-compliant, the detector offers improved temperature stability and faster settling time, reducing false triggers from rapid temperature transients. Its Wake-Up mode and low-voltage operation make it suitable for smart sensors, wireless alarm systems and IoT motion nodes.
