Product description
CIT17-10S friction sensitivity tester is used to measure the sensitivity of friction-sensitive materials and to determine if the material is too dangerous to transport in its test form. The instrument complies with the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods — Tests and Criteria Manual 13.5.1 Test 3b(a) (BAM friction instrument). The instrument is equipped with a friction device: a weight on the load arm causes the magnet attached to the porcelain specimen to move back and forth automatically; the operator observes the sample to determine the outcome: explosion, no response, or decomposition.
