Product overviewThe CIT17-10S BAM friction sensitivity tester measures friction sensitivity of candidate materials to assess transport hazards according to UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Tests and Criteria Manual, section 13.5.1 Test 3b(a) (BAM friction instrument). The instrument evaluates whether a sample reacts by explosion, shows no response, or decomposes under controlled friction stimulus.
OperationThe tester uses a weighted load arm and a magnet-mounted specimen to drive a porcelain piece in reciprocating motion. Observation of the specimen reaction yields the test result: explosion, no response, or decomposition. The system supports full automation with parameter configuration, data storage and report viewing to reduce manual intervention.
Product features- Embedded processor running Windows CE for device control
- 8-inch LCD touchscreen displaying real-time test status for intuitive operation
