• Calibration resistors for various measurements used in electrical safety testing technology
• To check the measuring devices in addition to the daily dummy tests
• Connection via banana sockets
In addition to the daily dummy tests, the measuring device in the test devices or test systems can be checked at regular intervals with calibration resistors. This is not a calibration of the test devices or test systems, but can certainly be an important part of a quality system. In contrast to the dummy test, not only the function of the test equipment is checked, but also the measuring system.
The calibrators are supplied with a factory calibration or with a certificate in accordance with IEC 17025. For regular use, the resistors should be calibrated at least once a year. This is the only way to ensure that the measured values are reproducible. The calibrators contain resistors with high precision and high long-term and temperature stability. The resistors are adapted to the application. For example, high-voltage-resistant resistor decades are used for high-voltage testing. The calibrators for protective conductor tests are designed using 4-wire technology to compensate for contact resistances.
The resistors are mounted on heat sinks for heat dissipation. To avoid measurement errors, only low-capacitance and low-inductance components / resistors are used. The connections are made via banana sockets and are adapted to the high voltages and currents by being used in plastic housings.
