Description

Overview

Key features
  • Accessory for surge/partial-discharge testers ST 4000B and ST 3820K
  • Active line coupler for shielded DUTs
  • Center frequency: 317 MHz
  • Inductive, potential-free signal extraction
  • Powered via the connected test device
  • CE-compliant design according to EN 50191

Detailed description
The HW 40 decouples partial-discharge signals inductively from the test-object line and transmits them potential-free to measuring equipment. Narrow-band filtering centered at 317 MHz reduces electromagnetic interference in industrial environments, enabling reliable PD measurement when antenna detection is not possible. The unit is intended as an accessory for compatible surge and partial-discharge testers and is powered by the test instrument.
