OverviewThe Radial oil seal Type RH is a rotary shaft seal with a metal outer diameter to provide an increased press fit in the bore. It is produced without an inserted tension spring, which reduces friction at the sealing lip. The seal is suitable for low-viscosity media and gas applications if the mating surface is machined accordingly. It is intended for rotating shafts in housings where no internal pressure is present. Standard elastomer options: NBR and FKM; additional materials available on request.

Main useunpressurized sealing for rotating shafts
Materialselastomers (standard: NBR, FKM), metal
Technical values / Variants- Materials (variants): NBR, FKM (other materials on demand)
- Pressure: not applicable (unpressurized applications)
- Temperature (NBR, material dependent): -30°C to +100°C
- Temperature (FKM, material dependent): -20°C to +200°C
- Speed: depends on material and shaft diameter
NotesMaximum values for temperature, speed and pressure are not simultaneously applicable. Actual limits vary with elastomer grade, metal design and the media in use.
