Product overviewULMAN T4903 is a gland packing manufactured from polyimide yarn reinforced with aramid staple fibres and highly impregnated with PTFE dispersion and silicone oil lubricant. The structure and impregnation deliver excellent abrasion, cut and wear resistance, high thermal and chemical stability, and reliable emergency running behaviour (material carbonises rather than melts). Designed for continuous service up to +260 °C; decomposition begins at approx. 450 °C.
Applications- Chemical industry: acids, alkalis, solvents
- Energy and power plants: steam, condensate, hot and cold water
- Food and pharmaceutical industry
- General plant engineering: oils, greases, ammonia, lime milk
Fields of application- Static
- Dynamic
- Single acting
- Double acting
- Linear
- Rotating
- Oscillating
Main useHigh-strength fibre structure combined with a high degree of PTFE impregnation makes ULMAN T4903 particularly suitable for abrasive environments and for applications requiring pressure stability and long service life under varying process conditions.
