Overview The Radial Oil Seal Type RB is a standard rotary shaft seal according to DIN 3760 (design type B). It features a metal outer diameter for improved press fit in the bore and an inserted tension spring. It is suited for low-viscosity media and gas applications provided the shaft surface treatment is appropriate. The seal is primarily intended for rotating shafts in housings with no or minimal pressure fluctuations. Standard elastomer materials are NBR and FKM; other materials available on request.
Fields of application - static
- dynamic
- single-acting
- double-acting
- linear
- rotating
- oscillating
Main use Unpressurized sealing for rotating shafts
Materials Elastomers, metal
Technical values - Materials (variants): NBR, FKM
- Pressure (NBR / FKM): up to 0.05 MPa
- Temperature (NBR): -30°C to +100°C (material dependent)
- Temperature (FKM): -20°C to +200°C (material dependent)
- Speed: dependent on material, medium and diameter
- Note: Maximum values of temperature, speed and pressure are not simultaneously applicable and vary depending on material and medium
