OverviewULMAN T4938 is manufactured from PTFE yarn with a high graphite content and a special lubricant impregnation. Edges are reinforced with aramid yarn to permit use under very high pressures, especially in piston pumps. The packing features a compact cross-section and a robust structure, providing high resistance to splitting and wear while protecting against mechanical stress from abrasive media.
ApplicationT4938 is intended for sealing pumps, valves, and slide gates. It is suitable for universal use up to approx. +280 °C and provides reliable sealing in chemically aggressive media as well as in water and steam.
