Overview
ULMAN T4901 is braided from pure PTFE yarn and reinforced with aramid yarn at the corners. The packing is impregnated with a lubricant to reduce friction. The aramid corner reinforcement improves mechanical stability and enables use under very high pressure, particularly in piston pumps.

Application
The packing is designed for sealing pumps, valves and sliders. It performs reliably in chemically aggressive media and in water and steam (use up to 280 °C). Typical application sectors include chemical and pharmaceutical plants, oil refineries, food industry, chemical departments of power generation, metallurgy and pulp and paper. It is also commonly used in the sugar industry, malt houses and lime plants.
