Product overviewULMAN T4902 is braided from aramid filament yarn and impregnated with PTFE. The base material, aramid fibre, provides very high tensile strength and excellent resistance to pressure and abrasion. The packing exhibits minimal wear even under high-pressure conditions.
ApplicationThe packing is suitable for sealing in a wide range of chemically aggressive and abrasive media, as well as in water and steam up to 280 °C. It is applicable in rotary and piston pumps, with primary use in piston pumps, and is suitable for high-pressure and demanding operating conditions. ULMAN T4902 demonstrates extended service life in abrasive media.
Installation noteDue to the high yarn strength, the use of shaft sleeves (sleeved shafts) is recommended to protect the shaft and ensure correct compression and alignment of the packing.
