Platinum sensors
IST AG platinum temperature sensors are designed for industrial temperature measurement across wide ranges. Standard IEC 60751 sensors are available in tolerance classes F0.3 (0.12 %), F0.15 (0.06 %), F0.1 (0.04 %) and higher accuracies on request. Devices are manufactured in wired and SMD formats and in various sizes to match installation constraints.

Connection & wires

• Enameled Cu-wire (1E): Extended, directly welded enameled copper wire; insulation removed and pre-tinned at the wire end for easy soldering. Small diameter (Ø 0.2 mm) enables very compact sensors. Typical application up to +150 °C (short-term up to +180 °C).
• Straight and stranded PTFE-wire (2I / 2L): Cu/Ag straight and stranded conductors with PTFE insulation. Directly welded wires provide robustness and are suitable for connector assemblies, soldering, welding and crimping. Wires can be extended or welded directly to the sensor chip.

Small dimensions

• MiniSens: smallest footprint, 1.2 mm x 1.6 mm; available with accuracies up to IEC 60751 F0.1 and with long directly welded wires; specific versions operate up to +600 °C.
• SlimSens: dimensions 0.8 mm x 3.0 mm; suitable for tubes from 1 mm diameter; available with accuracies up to IEC 60751 F0.1 and long directly welded wires; specific versions operate up to +600 °C.

Customization options
Wide range of customization to meet application requirements: extended 2- to 4-wire constructions, shrink-tube assemblies covering electrical contacts, ready-mounted connectors on wire ends, sensors soldered to metal discs or sheets, sensors pre-assembled into housings (filled with epoxy, polyurethane or silicone or soldered to housing bottom), and round ceramic housings (R) for temperatures from −200 °C to +600 °C.
