The EA-ELR 10360-15 2U, by EA Elektro-Automatik, is a 2U rack-mountable programmable DC load with energy recovery. It inverts consumed DC energy at ≤94.5% efficiency to feed back into local mains, reducing energy waste, and suits laboratory/industrial use like power supply testing.
It offers 0-360V adjustable DC voltage, 0-15A variable DC current, and 0-1500W power (derated to 1200W on 110-127V AC). It supports 4 operating modes: Constant Voltage (CV), Constant Current (CC), Constant Power (CP), Constant Resistance (CR).
This wide AC input load works with 110-127V ±10% (1-phase, derated) and 208-240V ±10% (1-phase) AC (45-65Hz), with ~0.99 power factor and <3.5mA leakage current. It delivers high precision: ≤0.1% FS (CC)/≤0.05% FS (CV) load regulation, ≤0.01% FS (CV/CC) line regulation, and ≤0.02% FS stability over 8 hours (30-minute warm-up).
As a remote sensing load, it compensates DC cable voltage drops (≤5% U Nominal) via included plugs. For scalability, up to 64 same-series units connect via Master-Slave/Share buses (total power up to 192kW), with the Share bus balancing voltage dynamically.
It has a 5-inch color TFT touchscreen (Gorilla Glass, 800×480) and 2 rotary knobs for manual control. Remote control includes galvanically isolated USB (rear: communication/firmware; front: data logging), Ethernet (100 MBit, SCPI/ModBus RTU), and 15-pole D-Sub analog (0-5V/0-10V switchable). Optional IF-AB modules (CANopen, ProfiNet) add industrial bus compatibility.
A built-in function generator supports sine/triangular/rectangular waves, DIN 40839, arbitrary waves (99 points), battery test (Ah/Wh counting), and MPP tracking.
