Fully automatic, computer-controlled twist tester designed for laboratory and production quality control of spun and filament yarns. Configurable for single-package testing or multi-package operation with automated cop changer.

Main features

• Automatic testing on a single package or up to 24 packages using the Auto Cop Changer (ensures repeatability and reduces operator errors)
• Compatible yarns: ring-spun, open-end spun, synthetic filament yarns (both S and Z twist) and plied yarns (Direct method in semi-automatic mode)
• Three preselectable test methods:
  • Traditional: untwisting and retwisting on single yarns
  • Schutz: untwisting, retwisting and double counter-check for O.E. spun and combed wool yarns
  • Direct: untwisting for single yarns and multifilament yarns
• Sequential twist testing on sections of the same bobbins at preset intervals
• Statistical outputs: mean, minimum, maximum, CV%, range, standard deviation, Alfa twist coefficient
• Twist units selectable: per meter (RPM) or per inch
• Fixed clamp distance: 50 cm
• All results can be saved in the internal database; software included (PC and printer available on request)
