Product overview
Computerised video analyser for microscopic inspection and quantitative analysis of fibres, yarns, fabrics, knits, non-wovens and related mechanical parts. Designed for laboratory quality control, incoming material checks and R&D in textile and materials testing environments.

Equipment suitable to:

• perform rapid fineness analysis of single fibres;
• identify fibre types within blends and determine composition percentages;
• verify purchased material characteristics, analyse yarn structure and detect defects;
• measure yarn count (dtex/den) and round-section filament count;
• assess Lycra/elastic filament distribution in yarns and compactness of non-woven fabrics;
• measure section surface areas and perimeters;
• inspect mechanical parts such as needle points and spinnerets; reduce warp and weft density measurements to cm or inch;
• process, store and print measurements, and provide min/mean/max values, CV% and distribution graphs.

• LEICA Biological Microscope: on-screen magnification from 195X to 2830X with micrometric slide movement and polarising illumination for fibre and yarn analysis.
• LEICA Stereo Microscope: on-screen magnification from 16X to 189X with illuminated base for fabric, yarn and mechanical part inspection.
• LED ring light illuminator for uniform lighting.
• PC complete with LCD monitor and photographic-quality printer.
• Professional digital colour camera, 1/2.3" sensor, 25.0 Mpixel, USB 3.0 for image acquisition.
• Software for image capture, measurement extraction, annotations on live and stored images, and statistical analysis.
• Fibre Microscope Kit (Code 250.325) for sample preparation and microscopic analysis.
