Product description
Defrost heating blankets are designed for thawing and outdoor use in construction and utilities. Typical applications include curing, thawing frozen soil and sand, preheating foundations, protecting construction materials from freezing, melting snow and ice, temperature maintenance in telecom cables and support for excavation works.

Design and features

• Top-insulated design directing heat downwards
• Outer layer: durable PVC — water resistant and weatherproof
• Built-in bimetal thermostat set to fixed 70°C

Installation and operation
Roll out the defrost blanket over the surface to be heated, connect to the 230V supply using the Schuko plug or CEE connector, and operate until the surface is frost-free. After use, disconnect, roll up and store in dry conditions.

Performance
Under normal conditions the blanket defrosts up to 30 cm of soil in 24 hours and up to 60 cm in sandy soils.
