Product descriptionA high-density cartridge heater provides very high power relative to its size and ensures uniform heat distribution across the heater casing. These heaters are designed for harsh industrial conditions including process temperatures up to 750°C, vibration, shock and frequent thermal cycling.
Applications- Tool heating and hot plates
- Solid body and liquid heating
- Casting, melting and curing processes
- Soldering and bonding
- Heating of medical and laboratory equipment
Construction and manufacturingThe heater is manufactured by tightly winding resistance wire around a cylindrical ceramic core. Multiple power zones can be created by positioning the resistance wire accordingly. The assembly is inserted into a metal sheath and filled with pure magnesium oxide as insulation, then compressed to the required outer diameter and tolerance.
- Welded bottom (opposite leads exit)
- Casing of stainless steel
- Insulation disc of ceramic
- Pure compressed magnesium oxide isolator
- Resistance wire of nickel/chrome 80/20
- Ceramic holder
- Ceramic fixing head
- Leads
- Ceramic sealing paste in the top
OptionsHigh-density cartridge heaters can be fitted with built-in sensors/thermocouples and configured to be dust-proof and water-resistant where required.
