Product overviewMica heaters are manufactured as open mica flat heating elements without an outer casing. They provide a thin, fast-response heating source commonly used in food service equipment, packaging machines, plastics and rubber processing, and heating tools.
Advantages and constructionThe open design yields a very thin profile (typically 1.5–2 mm) and fast, efficient heat-up. Mica heaters use high-quality resistance wire (NiCr 80/20) wound on a micanite sheet and sandwiched between outer micanite layers, offering excellent thermal transmission and energy efficiency.
CustomizationMica heaters can be tailored in shape, with holes, cutouts, slots, multiple heating zones, custom voltages and integrated temperature sensors (thermocouple or other options).
