PresentationThe Orion series stirred overflow liquid baths are available in three models (L, M, H) differentiated by their temperature ranges. The Orion range complements the Hydra series and offers a deeper calibration volume. This stirred liquid bath provides low-uncertainty calibration for long-stem thermometers and expansion thermometers.
Main advantages- Large immersion depth: 470 mm
- Low fill cost: capacity 8.5 litres
- Adjustable stirring speed
- Homogeneity: better than 0.01°C
- Stability: ±0.007°C (typical values depending on range)
- Programmable automatic power-up
- Liquid level suited to expansion thermometers, no adapter required
Detailed descriptionWith its large immersion depth (470 mm), the Orion can accommodate the largest Triple Point of Water cells and provide a highly stable temperature calibration environment (a few mK) at a reasonable cost. Accessories are available to support fixed-point cells of the ITS-90 (Mercury, Water, Gallium, Indium). The Orion requires only 8.5 L of fluid, offering a good compromise between optimal immersion depth and reduced fill cost. During operation, the liquid level sits 10 mm below the lid, facilitating calibration of expansion thermometers without additional adapters.
