OverviewOceanus 6 is a calibrator for temperature probes operating from -25°C (at an ambient temperature of 20°C) up to 140°C. It offers a large calibration volume of 52 mm diameter for 300 mm depth. Accessories enable conversion into a bath (for surface sensor calibration), a blackbody furnace (for infrared thermometer calibration) and an ITS-90 Fixed Point system with calibration uncertainties down to 0.0002°C.
VersionsOceanus 6 is available in two versions:
- OCEANUS B (Basic model): equipped with a controller displaying the setpoint and the temperature measured by the control probe.
- OCEANUS S (On-site model): in addition to the B model features, includes a second digital indicator for connection of an external reference probe to improve accuracy (elimination of gradient and loading errors).
Use and recommendationsIn bath calibration mode, surface sensor calibration or blackbody source, the use of an external reference probe is required (connected to the S model's built-in indicator or to an external indicator). For laboratory use, it is recommended to connect the Oceanus 6 to a high-performance temperature indicator.
