Description

Overview
The Oceanus 6 POTTS 580 calibration furnace is a multifunctional temperature calibration unit covering from 45°C below ambient up to 140°C. It supports direct fixed-point calibration (ITS-90 fixed points) and comparison calibration against a reference standard.

Performance and applications
The Oceanus 6 POTTS 580 delivers exceptional measurement precision of ±0.0002°C (2σ) at the Triple Point of Water and at the Gallium melting point (29.7646°C), and up to ±0.005°C with the optional stirred liquid bath (comparison calibration). It calibrates conventional thermometers and temperature sensors regardless of length and shape: optical pyrometers, surface sensors, thermistors, thermocouples and platinum resistance thermometers (Pt100). The furnace can also be used to maintain reference standards by regular verification at the Triple Point of Water. The calibration volume is 52 mm diameter with 300 mm depth. The unit is supplied with a digital indicator and a high-performance controller and offers numerous optional accessories to form a complete, autonomous calibration system.
