Description
The TRURAC 847 is a rack-mounted (19'') thermocouple reference junction enclosure providing a stable and precise temperature at 0°C or, optionally, at a higher temperature between 45°C and 70°C. It uses Peltier-effect modules requiring limited maintenance. An alarm is triggered if the temperature deviation exceeds 0.2°C.

Operating principle
Inside the chassis is a 0°C reference unit grouping the copper/thermocouple junctions. Connections to the thermocouples and to the measuring instrument are located at the rear of the board. Up to 100 thermocouples can be compensated with one reference unit; a second unit can be installed to increase capacity to 200 thermocouples. The user connects thermocouples and copper leads to ensure accurate and highly stable compensation.
