Overview
The Medusa POTTS 510 dry calibration furnace is a dry-block system engineered for probe calibration requiring large immersion depths. It delivers temperature uniformity appropriate for ITS-90 Fixed Point realization and for comparative calibrations of long sensors.

Functions and applications
The POTTS 510 supports calibration of standard thermometers and temperature sensors regardless of length or shape: optical pyrometers, surface probes, thermistors, thermocouples and platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs). It can be used to maintain and verify reference standards at Fixed Points such as Gallium melting, Indium triple point, Tin and Zinc. Calibration volume is 45 mm diameter with 285 mm immersion depth. The POTTS 510 is rated for operation up to +550°C (specified range: 30°C to +550°C). A variant POTTS 511 (three-zone control) is recommended for applications above 550°C up to 700°C.
