Overview
The reference resistor bath 455 operates from dew point up to 40°C and provides an unmatched stability of ±0.005°C. It is designed to host several reference resistors and to support accurate temperature coefficient measurements and temperature-controlled maintenance.

Technical description
The 455 uses Peltier modules to regulate the bath temperature with a control resolution of 0.01°C, independent of ambient conditions. Total stability and temperature gradients are below ±0.015 K when measured directly in the bath oil and below ±0.003 K when measured inside a fixed reference resistor. The maintenance bath can accommodate several resistors depending on their size and is ideal for measuring temperature coefficients of fixed resistors and for keeping them at a controlled temperature. The recommended oil for the 455 has specific properties (very high resistivity and very low viscosity); using an alternative oil will increase temperature gradients and may severely damage the pump.

New features
A new color graphic display provides system control. The Ethernet interface allows remote temperature regulation. A function to log bath and ambient-air temperature is available. Data can be exported to a USB key.

Oil
