Description

Overview
The microsKanner multichannel scanner provides 10 individually configurable channels accepting platinum resistance thermometers (PRT), thermistors or thermocouples. Up to 9 scanners can be connected to a microK, providing 90 additional sensor inputs.

Ease of use
The system uses plug-and-play technology. Any additional channel used on the microsKanner is automatically visible on the microK interface. Channels on the microsKanner are configured the same way as microK channels, either via the microK interface or using a PC connection through RS232.

Accuracy
The microsKanner extends the microK input channels by 10 channels while preserving the same accuracy specifications. By adding up to 9 scanners, the microK becomes a 92-channel system without any loss of measurement performance.

Versatility
Like the microK, the microsKanner accepts PRTs, thermocouples and thermistors.

Hold current
The microsKanner includes 10 individually programmable hold current sources to power PRT probes even when not actively measured. Uncertainty associated with power coefficients is taken into account.

Cable PodTM connectivity
The microsKanner input connectors accept 4 mm plugs, lugs and bare wires. Contacts are gold-plated copper-tellurium alloy to minimize thermal EMFs and optimize measurement uncertainty.
