SummaryThe 944 system measures the true surface temperature of sensors by controlling and regulating temperature along the tested sensor.
Key points- Displays true surface temperature
- Temperature range: 30°C to +350°C
- Resolution: 0.1°C
Operating principleA fine Type N thermocouple is used as the surface temperature sensor. A second thermocouple junction, positioned 2–3 mm away, detects the temperature difference caused by heat flow through the sensor. A heating device warms the thermocouple probe until the temperature gradient reaches zero, eliminating conduction from the probe shaft to the hot plate and avoiding measurement disturbance. The 944 system can be used with the 983 surface sensor calibrator.
