OverviewPA-1178LD is a dry laser particle size analyzer using full-range Mie scattering theory for fast, automatic measurement of powder particle size distributions where wet methods are unsuitable. The instrument implements instantaneous dispersion and measurement to ensure repeatable, stable results and is suited for routine industrial laboratory use.
ApplicationSuitable for particle size testing of dry powders in magnetic materials, lithium carbonate, pharmaceutical powders, cement, powder coatings, chemicals, food ingredients, pesticides, electronics, papermaking, metallurgy, ceramics, building materials, abrasives, calcium carbonate, talc, kaolin, alumina, rare earths, catalysts, blowing agents, fillers, graphite, pigments and similar sectors.
Instrument Features- High-resolution photodetector array design (92 detectors) for improved measurement detail.
- Direct testing of dry powders without dispersant or solvent.
- Fully automatic test sequence via user-friendly software: parameter selection, centering, background, concentration adjustment, signal sampling, analysis and report generation are computer-controlled.
- Software supports Chinese and English, multiple report formats (cumulative, normal, RR), and exports particle size distributions, histograms and standard D-values (D3, D10, D25, D50, D75, D84, D90, D97, D98).
- Integrated opto-mechanical-electrical design with sealed enclosure, auxiliary filtration and dust extraction; oil-free silent compressor included; system reclaims waste to minimize contamination.
