The DL E Heavy 800/3000 is a conventional lathe series designed for machining very large turning diameters and long workpieces. It supports workpiece lengths up to 8,000 mm and turning diameters above 1,600 mm. The wide, ribbed cast-iron bed accepts heavy workpiece weights; the main spindle is driven via an adjustable multi-disc clutch and dedicated motors provide rapid traverses and motorized tailstock movement.
