Overview
The VDM 2600 S conventional vertical lathe is engineered for machining large-diameter, heavy workpieces. The design facilitates safe, efficient loading/unloading by crane or forklift. A high-torque servo motor drives the feeds and a hydraulic system clamps the crossbeam. The main spindle with reduction gear delivers high torque for heavy cutting; a side support with independent feed is available for outer-contour machining. A 3-axis position indicator is fitted as standard to ensure precision.
