Overview
Machines of the DL E Heavy series permit machining of very large turning diameters and long workpieces. This conventional lathe range handles workpieces up to 8,000 mm in length and turning diameters over 1,600 mm. The wide, rib-reinforced bed supports heavy workpiece weights. Powerful drive motors transmit torque to the main spindle via a finely adjustable multi-disc clutch. Rapid traverse in the carriage and a motorised tailstock are provided for efficient handling of long bed lengths.
