Overview
The cifX PC card family is a unified standard supporting Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems for PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs on the card and process data is exchanged with the host via Dual-Port Memory (DPM) or DMA. All cifX cards share drivers and tools and can change protocols by loading different firmware. A variety of hardware options and software tools (device drivers, C-Toolkit, SYCON.net) enable flexible integration in industrial environments.
