Overview
The cifX PC card family is the standardized platform for implementing Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus protocols on PC-based automation systems. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the cifX card and exchanges process data with the host via Dual-Port-Memory (DPM) or DMA. Thanks to the common Hilscher platform and netX technology, protocols can be changed by loading firmware while drivers and tools remain uniform across protocols and card formats.
