Overview
The cifX PC card family provides a unified standard for PC-based automation, supporting all Real-Time Ethernet and fieldbus systems. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the card and exchanges process data with the host via Dual-Port-Memory (DPM) or DMA. Hilscher netX technology enables multiple Real-Time Ethernet protocols on a single hardware platform; protocol changes are performed by loading different firmware. Hardware options include M12 connectors, additional NVRAM, extended temperature range, 2-channel variants and remote network interfaces. A broad range of device drivers and a free C-Toolkit are available for integration.
