DescriptionThe cifX PC card family is a unified standard supporting real-time Ethernet and fieldbus systems for PC-based automation. The protocol stack executes autonomously on the card and process data are exchanged with the host via Dual-Port-Memory (DPM) or DMA. All cifX cards share the same drivers and tools; netX technology enables multiple protocols on one hardware platform and permits protocol changes by loading different firmware.
