OverviewThe cifX PC card family provides a unified hardware and software platform for Real-Time Ethernet and fieldbus communication in PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the card; process data is exchanged with the host via Dual-Port-Memory or DMA. Hilscher netX technology enables multiple Real-Time Ethernet protocols on the same hardware by loading different firmware, while a uniform Hilscher driver and tools simplify integration.
