Description
The CIFX PC card family provides a standardized solution for all Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems in PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs independently on the card (netX technology), exchanging process data with the host through Dual-Port-Memory or DMA. Thanks to the common Hilscher platform strategy, all CIFX cards use the same drivers and tools regardless of protocol or card format. Changing the communication protocol is possible by loading different firmware, enabling flexible deployment of Real-Time Ethernet protocols on a single hardware platform.
