Description
The cifX PC card family provides a unified standard for all Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems in PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the card and exchanges process data with the host via DPM or DMA. Hilscher’s netX technology implements multiple Real-Time Ethernet protocols on a single hardware device; protocols can be changed by loading different firmware.

Various hardware options (cable lengths, M12 connectors, additional NVRAM, extended temperature, 2-channel variants, detached interfaces) address diverse application needs. A broad set of device drivers and a free C-Toolkit support integration and development.
