Overview
The cifX PC card family is a unified standard supporting Real-Time Ethernet and fieldbus systems for PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the card and data exchange with the host is performed via Dual-Port-Memory (DPM) or DMA. Cards share the same platform strategy, drivers and tools; protocol functionality can be changed by loading different firmware.

Details
The card is available with multiple hardware options (various cable lengths, M12 connectors, additional NVRAM, 2-channel variants, separate network interfaces) to suit application requirements. A free C-Toolkit and a wide range of device drivers are supplied. The netX technology enables implementation of different Real-Time Ethernet protocols on the same hardware.
