Communication module for PC-based automation. The cifX family provides a unified standard for Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems in PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the PC card (netX 90); process data is exchanged with the host via Dual-Port-Memory or DMA. All cards share the same drivers and tooling. Hilscher netX technology enables multiple Real-Time Ethernet/Fieldbus protocols on a single hardware platform and protocol changes by loading different firmware.
