Product overview
The cifX PC card family is a unified standard supporting Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems for PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the PC card and process data is exchanged with the host via Dual-Port-Memory (DPM) or DMA. All PC cards share the same driver and tools regardless of protocol and card format. Hilscher netX technology enables multiple Real-Time Ethernet protocols on one hardware platform; protocol change is performed by loading different firmware.
