Description
The cifX PC card family provides a unified solution supporting Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus systems for PC-based automation. The protocol stack runs autonomously on the card and exchanges process data with the host via Dual-Port-Memory or DMA. Hilscher's netX technology implements Real-Time Ethernet protocols on a single hardware platform; communication protocols can be changed by loading different firmware. The common Hilscher platform strategy ensures that all cifX cards use the same driver and tools regardless of protocol or card format.
Multiple hardware options: cables of different lengths, M12 connectors, additional NVRAM, extended temperature range, dual-channel cards or separate network interfaces. A broad range of device drivers and a free C-Toolkit are available.
The cifX portfolio is continuously updated with new standards, protocols and formats to meet the requirements of PC-based automation.
