netLINK PROXY NL 51N-DPL is a plug-on PROFINET/PROFIBUS proxy connector that integrates an existing PROFIBUS DP slave into a PROFINET network. The device is mounted directly onto the PROFIBUS DP interface of the slave and connects to PROFINET via an RJ45 Ethernet port. It behaves on PROFINET as a standard I/O device and maps the slave process data as modules into PROFINET slots/subslots.

Installation & configuration
Commissioning is performed via the Ethernet port either by direct connection to a PC or through a PROFINET switch during runtime. Configuration and diagnosis are carried out with the FDT/DTM-based SYCON.net tool. If the slave GSD file is not available, a scan function can automatically identify the device on the PROFIBUS and retrieve configuration parameters.
