netTAP 100 is a protocol gateway that connects and translates between a 2-port real-time Ethernet protocol and fieldbus or serial automation protocols. It supports conversions between fieldbus-fieldbus, fieldbus-serial and Ethernet-fieldbus, with unrestricted licensed Master capability. The device includes a memory card slot for firmware and configuration storage allowing rapid replacement by transferring the card to a spare unit. netTAP 100 also supports custom serial protocol programming via the Lua-based netSCRIPT scripting language and includes a development environment for fast implementation of proprietary protocols and I/O pre-/post-processing during conversion.
